Executive Director

Specialty Care Free Clinic • Madison, WI

Specialty Care Free Clinic provides expert specialty medical care to lower income uninsured patients in twelve south-central Wisconsin counties.  We are seeking candidates for the Executive Director position. The Executive Director is responsible for fundraising, financial management, community relations, strategic planning, clinic data management, marketing, and governance.  Overall leadership of clinic staff and clinic functions are under the direction of the Executive Director, who works in a partnership with the SCFC Medical Director.

The ideal candidate would benefit from the following: 

• Experience in healthcare administration/management.

• Prior knowledge and/or experience in fundraising and community engagement

• Thorough knowledge of administration, management and general understanding of the health care delivery system.

• Ability to exercise sound leadership and judgment.

• Public relations knowledge and expertise to maintain good public image of the clinic.

Bachelor’s degree in administration, management or related field required, Master’s degree preferred. Candidates must demonstrate the ability to work with diverse populations. Individuals who are bilingual/bi-cultural in English/Spanish are highly encouraged to apply.

This is a flexible part-time (20-28 hours) position. You will have the opportunity to work from home and/or within the community as appropriate.
